Anyone who knows me knows that I love a good Manhattan. Even more so, I love to eat and I don’t mind eating alone. Well this past week was no different and this time I decided to visit an oldie but goodie.

When I decide to embark on a solo-date, if I choose not to go to one of my favorite spots, I will scour the internet for a good restaurant. Honestly, the restaurant becomes a viable option if they have a vast selection of whiskeys. I know this may not be the most logical method for selecting a restaurant, but hey…it has always worked for me. When I started looking, I was reminded of a favorite of mine that I had not visited for some time. And YES, it had a signature drink on the menu that caught my eye.

Lon’s at The Hermosa Inn is a “hideaway” oasis nestled in the neighborhood of Paradise Valley and this is where I headed for a delicious meal and the perfect drink. Aside from the desert landscaped views that surround Lon’s at Hermosa Inn, you will also experience a serene and tranquil environment once you enter.

The outside dining is perfect for nature lovers. Unfortunately, I avoid outside dining because I am not a fan of birds. As well, it may not be the best spot while the sun is blazing in the summer months, but I bet that view is stunning at dusk.

I completely recommend Lon’s at Hermosa Inn. Lon’s is a AAA Four Diamond restaurant that “showcases globally inspired Arizona fare”.

I did have the pleasure of visiting Lon’s for the first time about 9 years ago. As a writer for the former online newspaper, examiner.com, I submitted articles as the Scottsdale Style Examiner and Scottsdale Community Examiner and included a review of this Paradise Valley Beauty. So I was certainly excited to return with an opportunity to share my thoughts again. Let me say, once again Lon’s did not disappoint.

While I did not have an opportunity to get a tour this time, I did choose to sit in the bar and not the restaurant, as I had done previously. The bar, Lon’s Last Drop, was warm and welcoming. The staff was pleasant and attentive. And that drink was stellar!

At Lon’s Last Drop, I ordered the Black Agave Old Fashion. This beauty was designed with the following ingredients, Azunia blac, rye whiskey, Peychauds bitters, torched orange and a cherry. My meal included the Local Wagyu Beef Burger made with local gouda, blackstone dressing, house pickles, gem lettuce, caramelized onion, Abby lee tomato on a challah bun with fried. Yes, I know I am gluten free, but guess what I ate that bun. While I have included photos of my drink and meal, just know I ate everything on my plate, even if you do not see a photo of it. LOL

I completely recommend Lon’s at Hermosa Inn. Lon’s is a AAA Four Diamond restaurant that “showcases globally inspired Arizona fare”. Lon’s is great for business meetings, family meals or small getaways with your special one. Be sure to check out the ‘wine cellar’. If this beautiful cooled room is not booked for a business meeting for 12, in the summer you can book it for dinner. Dinner includes a chef prepared meal with a special 5 course tasting menu called Cool Dining in the Cellar along with wine paring options. Either way, no matter the reason, visiting Lon’s won’t disappoint.

Read my previous review, Lon’s at the Hermosa Inn delivers delectable delights with western flair and elegance.
